Cris Hess holds a B.S. in Art Education from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania where she focused on painting and watercolor. She earned her Masters Degree in Art Education from Moore College of Art and Design in 2018. She currently teaches High School Art at Newark High School, DE. She teaches specialized classes like 3D Design, Ceramics and Advanced Drawing. She is experienced in painting wall murals, sketching custom portraits, encaustic painting, mosaics, collage, traditional scenes, abstract works, and paintings inspired by nature. Cristen has a passion for creating and teaching art because applying human creative skills and imagination gives a person a sense of accomplishment and empowers people to communicate ideas that words and numbers cannot always express.
